{"id":82,"date":"2026-08-28T13:48:33","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T13:48:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sixtydays.org\/iberia\/?p=82"},"modified":"2026-08-29T15:09:48","modified_gmt":"2026-08-29T15:09:48","slug":"gaia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sixtydays.org\/iberia\/gaia\/","title":{"rendered":"Gaia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Vila Nova de Gaia<\/strong> or simply <strong>Gaia<\/strong>, is a city and a municipality located south of the city of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Porto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Porto<\/a> on the other side of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Douro_River\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Douro River<\/a>. The city contains many cellars (locally known as &#8220;caves&#8221;) where <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Port_wine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">port wine<\/a> is stored and aged. It&#8217;s history is tied directly to the production of port. It&#8217;s long, a little bloody, and very complicated. Port on the other hand is very simple, although there are many kinds and many techniques involved.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"pgc-sgb-cb wp-block-pgcsimplygalleryblock-masonry \"
